ISO

Abbreviation for International Organization for Standardization. ISO regulates standardized industrial standards to facilitate international trade of goods and services. In addition to the ISO 9000 series of quality system standards and the ISO 14000 series of environmental protection standards, ISO has also issued standards for immunity test methods for automobiles and automotive electronic equipment, and these are used as reference standards in ECE regulations as well as in the standards of various automobile manufacturers.

CISPR

CISPR stands for International Special Committeon RadioInterference, a special committee of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). The CISPR standard is referenced in many regions, including Europe, Asia, and Australia, where it has been replaced as a national standard with only a title change.

FCC

FCC stands for Federal Communications Commissions, which creates, publishes and regulates standards for EMC in the United States. Not only in the U.S., but also in Canada and South America, it is referenced. FCC CFR 47 is a standard that specifies technical standards for radio frequency equipment or their components. CFR 47 is composed of Parts 0 through 90, with Part 15 for radio frequency equipment, Part 18 for ISM equipment, and Part 2 for general regulations for radio frequency equipment, for example. Within each Part, further subparts are identified.

ETSI

ETSI is the abbreviation for European Telecommunications Standards Institute. It is a standardization organization established to develop standard specifications for telecommunications in the European region, and is composed of government agencies, telecommunications carriers, manufacturers, research institutes, and other organizations that manage telecommunications in European countries.

MIL-STD-461

This is a standard issued by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) for the EMC evaluation of munitions products. It defines EMI and EMS across electronic, electrical and electromechanical equipment and subsystems designed or procured for use by DoD activities and agencies, and establishes interfaces for the control of electromagnetic interference (EMI) emission and susceptibility characteristics and associated verification requirements.
